Last year, with the incredible support of NZ On Air and Rockshop, we were able to give prize packs to each of the national finalists for Smokefreerockquest and Smokefree Tangata Beats.
Alongside the opportunity to spend a day in the studio recording one of their original tracks, each act member received a $500 voucher to spend on gear at Rockshop.
We have put their songs together on Bandcamp.
(Please note for the SFRQ album, the Albert Street track is still to come).
Many of these acts will be releasing music over the next few months, and we’ll be making sure to share their progress - so watch this space for those releases and to support local kiwi music!
We’ve been talking to a bunch of amazing NZ artists about their musical journey and songwriting process. They have generously shared their knowledge, experience, tips and advice.
We are always adding to our collection of artist profiles - from the likes of No Comply, Tomorrow People, Kaylee Bell, There's A Tuesday & heaps more! These profiles are written by the artist especially for YOU - the Smokefreerockquest participants and next generation of musicans!
We’re all about making this process as straightforward and smooth sailing as possible for you. We are just a phone call or email away if you have any questions!
